| the warriors are in the playoffs. First time in 13 years. Crazy, over half my life the warriors couldnt make the playoffs, but now they finally have. | | |
| Its been a crazy weekend. There were a lot of positives, and negatives, but i guess in the long run the good thing was that me and some of my pledge bro's/sisters got closer. Heres the breakdown of the what happened this weekend.
Thursday-> After a horrible midterm i took for 160, i chilled on campus all day handing out flyers for the event on Thursday and trying to sell candy in front of the bookstore. I finally left San Jose around 230 after a few appointments on campus. I made it back home, so that i could go to Lyndsay's birthday dinner at the new Chesecake Factory at Stoneridge in Pleasanton. After dinner i went back home, changed my oil and chilled with Joe and Willie for a little bit.
Friday-> I headed back to San Jose around 330pm, to get some stuff done and to attend the informal ice skating event with my pledge class. It was cool, the turn out was pritty good, and it was fun ice skating. I hella wanna go again some time, but i dont know, we'll see whats up. Heres some of the pictures from the event.

After Ice skating, we went to Applebee's to eat and chill for a bit.
We went and kicked it at Harrison's place afterwards, just chilled and watched 40 year old virgin. It was a cool kick back night, and I was glad i was able to bond more with the other pledges.
Saturday-> Saturday was a crazy long day. I woke up early around 930 or 10ish, and started getting ready for the beach. We planned a last minute trip to Capitola Beach on saturday, and yeah, it was crazy. We met up in the Fry's Electronic's parking lot off hamilton, and headed up 17 to Santa Cruz to go to the beach. Along the way me and mike were high reving on the 17, just messin arround, when all of the sudden his car died. One of his hoses on his turbo manifold fell off and it took us nearly an hour to put it back on. We were just stopped on the side of 17, just waiting for his manifold to cool off a little bit, before we could slide the hose back on and re clamp it.
 Stranded on the 17 south.
After we finally made it to Santa Cruz, we stopped and ate lunch at a Hawaiian BBQ place. After lunch, we headed up highway 1 and stopped somewhere at a beach for a little bit. It was hella windy, so we decided just to head back to santa cruz. By then Harrison had driven up to santa cruz to meet with us, and that is when we decided to hit highway 9 to get back home. We stopped at two places, once at the chessebrough view point, in the middle of highway 9 somewhere.

We then headed farther down 9, and hit 35 up into the Palo Alto Hills. We stopped at Vista point, where we saw a nice view of the entire south bay area. We chilled there, had some snacks, and just bonded at the top of the hill. We stayed there until it started getting dark, and the lights within all the cities began turning on.

These next two pictures are in memory of my friends GSR which he totalled on the way down the the mountain on highway 9.

Scary ass shit. Never again will i go up highway 9, unless i know for sure i will be driving HELLA SLOW. Im only glad everyones alright, but after spending all night that night in the hospital waiting for them to get discharged, never again will i fuck around in the mountains.
